What to expect at the hiring event?
- Only candidates who have submitted an RSVP to attend the hiring event via the below link will be granted entry into the facility.
- Candidates should wear closed-toe shoes and long pants while refraining from wearing jewelry or ripped pants for the plant tour.
- Upon arrival at Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ facility, job seekers will check-in at the employee/visitor entrance.
- Candidates will park in a fenced area on the side of the security building.
- If the candidate has not already applied for a position with Wayne-Sanderson Farms online, they will be instructed to do so from the vehicle using their smart phone. If you do not have a mobile device, on-site computers will be available to complete an application.
- After check-in and online application are complete, candidates will proceed inside the facility to the conference room.
- Please bring a valid photo identification with you.
- Candidates will then have drug and physical screenings conducted.
- If applicants pass the interview process and screenings, they will be scheduled for orientation.
- All individuals will exit the property immediately upon conclusion of the hiring process.

1st Shift Line Associate
Job Description:
$19 per hour
Entry-level employees begin earning $19 per hour on first shift. While terms and conditions will apply, most entry-level plant production positions also qualify for a $1,500 sign and stay bonus earned over a 90-day period.
Line Associate open positions are available on first shift only. Shift times vary based on the area of the facility in which employees work. On first shift, employees will work from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Shifts are approximately eight hours in length with employees working Monday – Friday with occasional work on Saturdays.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Line Associates are responsible for the disassembly of poultry and may perform a wide variety of poultry processing related tasks as they rotate on the production line.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• Learn and perform production related tasks surrounding poultry processing such as debone or evisceration
• Perform all duties in compliance with company policies and procedures, agency guidelines (i.e. NCC Animal Welfare, U.S.D.A, etc.) and federal, state and local legal requirements
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. non-slip footwear, earplugs, hair and beard nets, hard hats, etc.) correctly at all times in areas requiring PPE, helping to promote a zero accident culture
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• Previous poultry experience preferred
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Learn and perform production related tasks surrounding poultry processing such as debone or evisceration
• Perform all duties in compliance with Company policies and procedures, agency guidelines (i.e. NCC Animal Welfare, U.S.D.A, etc.) and Federal, State and local legal requirements
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. non-slip footwear, earplugs, hair and beard nets, hardhats, etc.) correctly at all times in areas requiring PPE helping to promote a zero accident culture

3rd Shift Sanitation Technician
Job Description:
$20 per hour
Sanitation Technician open positions are available on third shift. Shift times vary based on the area of the facility in which employees work. On third shift, employees will work from 11:30 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. Shifts are approximately eight hours in length with employees working Monday – Friday with occasional work on Saturdays.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Clean and maintain assigned area. Maintain control of all the parts, which could include all gaskets and replacement of broken or missing parts. Help set-up in the assigned department or any other lines. Responsible for mixtures of cleaning solutions and other chemicals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Use chemicals to clean and sanitized all machinery and areas assigned to.
- Tear down machinery at beginning of clean-up shift.
- Help set-up before production starts up in the morning.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor, area leader and sanitation manager.
- Do all tasks assigned by members of management.
- Follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Sound work ethic, honest and moral character.
- Basic understanding of machinery tear down and set-up.
- Clean-up (parts) experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math functions and skills.
- Poultry experience preferred, but not required.
- Basic chemical understanding.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
- Ability to stand for an eight-hour shift.
- Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2 and moving production.
- Handle a 900 PSI water hose continually.
- Lift 10-50 lbs. to include moving, lifting and pushing machinery.
- Climb up and down ladders in a daily work schedule.
- Stoop and reach overhead (bending & twisting).
